
CLAYTON - Judith A Gonio, 62, Route 12, died Thursday at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse.
Mrs. Gonio was a certified nurse's aide at the former E.J. Noble Hospital, Alexandria Bay.
Born March 28, 1946, in Watertown, daughter of Earl K. and Mary A. Dode Ingerson, she gradated from
LaFargeville High School and received a certified nurse's aide degree from Jefferson-Lewis County Board of
Cooperative Educational Services.
A marriage ended in divorce.
Mrs. Gonio had resided in Theresa for 15 years, in Watertown for 8 years, and in Clayton for the last 5 years.
She was a former member of the Theresa Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed rummage sales,
bowling, golfing, yard work, crafting, Sudoku puzzles and board games.
Surviving are her companion, Sam R. Stephenson, Clayton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William F. and
Tina, Liverpool, and Robert L., and his companion, Billie Jo Giddings, Theresa; a daughter, Tina L. Trainham,
and her companion, Robert Dingle, Utica; two brothers, Robert E. Ingerson, Albany, and Lawrence D. Ingerson,
Clayton; two sisters, Gloria J. Call, Connecticut, and Carole A. Gray, Clayton; four grandchildren, six
stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren, an aunt and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces,
great-nephews, and cousins.
A brother, William E. Ingerson, and a granddaughter died before her.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cummings Funeral Service with the Rev. David Dyke, pastor of
Community Church of the Nazarene of North Syracuse, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, town of Cape Vincent.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
