Joan L. Wagner, 77, of Pearse Road, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, peacefully in her
daughter's home after a long illness. Born December 12, 1931, in Hoosick Falls, NY to the
late Edward and Jennie Cotrell Hay, Joan lived in Niskayuna for 45 years. She retired in
1995 from Grand Union in Niskayuna. Joan married Bernard C. Wagner of Raymertown,
NY, on October 21, 1961; he predeceased her in 1995. Joan is survived by her children,
Linda Gebhardt (Erik) of Clifton Park, NY, Mark Wagner (Laurie) of Feedinghills, MA,
Glenn Wagner (Lois Scanlon) of Lafargeville, NY; grandchildren, Nick Wagner, Amanda
Slivienski, Jessica Slivenski, Jennifer Gebhardt, Tyler Gebhardt; and several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Pratt. Relatives and friends are
invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m at the Jones Funeral
Home, 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Calling hours will be Monday from
5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home for those who wish to call. Burial will be at Memory's
Garden, Colonie. With grateful thanks, donations can be made to Community Hospice of
